About Ally

Ally is Administrative Program Coordinator for the Utah Pathways to STEM (UPSTEM) initiative where she helps facilitate the Faculty Fellows Group, updates the UPSTEM webpage, and acts as the main point of contact for advisors from the University of Utah College of Science and Salt Lake Community College School of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. Ally also handles scheduling for the SCI course code and manages the planning and day-to-day operations of the REFUGES Summer Bridge Program. Additionally, Ally applies her design skills to generate CSME outreach materials. Ally started at CSME in 2016 as Academic Coordinator and was promoted to her current role in 2018.

Ally’s areas of expertise are program coordination, event planning, and University of Utah systems, particularly those which pertain to transfer and international students. She also excels at design work. Ally spent many years abroad, first in Japan as a language instructor/translator and later in Dubai as an event coordinator. Ally came to the CSME after spending a year and a half as an Academic Program Support Specialist at the University of Utah’s International Admissions Office. Ally holds a BA in Art History (New Mexico State University) and an MA in Design (Joshibi University of Art and Design).
